Aqua Wellness
Aqua Wellness programs are water-based exercise classes, suitable for a variety of ages and abilities. Aqua Wellness classes take place in the main pool or warm water therapy pool. You may pay by the class or purchase an Aqua Wellness Scan Pass.
Classes
Combines martial arts techniques and heart pumping cardio, kickboxing is a high energy workout that will burn calories and fat!

Shallow and deep water workout that combines a variety of cardio exercises as well as weight training for a workout that is easy on the joints. Buoyancy belts are available for use.

Participants will use the water and the body’s own muscles to provide the resistance necessary to receive a full-body workout.

A warm water muscle conditioning class where we will combine Aqua Yoga moves with Aqua Pilates and Tai Chi. You will be introduced to a series of exercises focusing on flexibility and range of motion, as well as specific breathing techniques improving core stability and balance.

A warm water exercise program intended to increase joint movement, reduce pain and stiffness and improve overall health. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and encourages social interaction amongst participants.

Meet Our Instructors
Jennifer M.
Jennifer is certified as an AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional. She also specialize in the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic and Exercise programs. She enjoys teaching our Splashing Seniors (MWF at 10:15) and Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Class (MWF at 11:30) in order to help participants feel their best. These lower impact classes will help you learn to listen to your body in order to improve your strength, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness needs, in the comfort of a warm water setting. Jennifer also teaches in our Fitness Center as a Certified YogaKids Teacher, teaching yoga to children, and at our Sheila Ray Adult Center as a Chair Yoga Instructor (Tuesday/Thursdays at 9am). In her free time, Jennifer and her family enjoy an active lifestyle and treasure time in National Parks.
Karen G.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from Northern Illinois University with Areas of Concentration in Dance and Health. She is a retired Physical Education teacher having taught 30+ years to grades PreK-12, most currently at Queen of the Rosary School right here in the village! When her two boys were growing up she worked for the EGPD teaching Totnastics, Exercise and Aerobic classes, and even a Pre-Natal exercise class. When teaching these workout classes she was known to many as “Killer Karen” since she worked participants so hard! Karen teaches the River Walk class each summer and subs for other classes throughout the year.
Sally G.
Sally began instructing aqua classes at PAC in 2001 and has enjoyed sharing her love of aquatics for over 20 years. She has been certified in Aquatic Group Exercise and Aquatic Arthritis Programs. With a sports background as a Division I athlete, coach, and referee, she enjoys many sports. When not in the pool, she loves spending time with her family and traveling the world!
Tina K.
After participating in aqua classes for many years, Tina became an instructor in 2014. A
workout enthusiast, you can find Tina either teaching or swimming in the Aquatics Center or
working out in the Fitness Center. Tina is certified as an AEA Aquatics Fitness Professional.
Classes taught are: Flex and Flow, Aqua Fusion, Aqua Kickboxing, H20 Boot Camp and River
Walking. Tina loves teaching and has been nicknamed “The Energizer Bunny” for her never
ending energy and infectious enthusiasm.
