As of Saturday, January 23, 2021 the Governor’s Tier One Mitigation Plan became effective for our area. Regular operations and programs are affected and subject to change at any time. The Elk Grove Park District continues to follow the recommendations from the Governor’s office, The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) as it pertains to public parks and recreation activities and facilities. See the latest updates here. Announcements will also be made through our E-News and Elk Grove Park District Facebook page as it becomes available.
Morton & Olmsted Park - Our Parks crew is working on clearing weed trees and brush along the creek as part of an inhouse restoration project. Included in the work is a "stack and burn" of wood material as a part of the cleanup. The work will be ongoing throughout the winter.
On Thursday, January 28, 2021, we'll be performing maintenance on our phone system. During this time, there may be intermittent issues when calling. Please contact us via our Contact Form as an alternative. Thank you for your patience.
Fri, Jul 31, 2020 - 8:00 AM, Pirates' Cove Closed for the 2020 Season
In accordance to the guidance provided within Phase 4 of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan, we are unable to provide Pirates' Cove to our guests this year. Pirates' Cove is considered an amusement park and those are to remain closed under these guidelines.
Rest assured that once Pirates' Cove does open, we will be following guidelines recommended by the CDC and the State of Illinois. Your health and safety are our top priority. More information on precautionary measures and procedures will be shared when we announce the park's opening date.
Again, we thank you for your support as we work to provide a safe and fun experience for everyone next year!
